River Edge Ranch, Gatesville, Texas
These horses belong to River Edge and live here. Many were bred by us.
A few are recent additions to the family. All are in training with us to find great new homes.
1/2 Friesian, 1/4 Clydesdale, 1/4 TB. She is stunning with HUGE, elastic movement. She is an easy keeper with great feet and sound conformation. She already sticks at 16.3hh and we are getting her started under saddle. The photos and video are from when she was a long yearling and she is now very mature in appearance. If you are interested, I will obtain new photos. I am also in the process of registering her with a part Friesian registry. $7,500
Willow is a gorgeous, big mare by my stallion Man in Motion, out of the Canadian broodmare Winsome. Winsome's sire was my fabulous jumper horse in Canada, so this mare should definitely be bred to jump. Willow is still very green and just returned to my program. She is currently riding walk/trot/canter under saddle and doing trotting poles and crossrails.
She has fantastic ground manners and is extremely easy to have around. She gets along well with other horses, yet she is independent. She has her sire's trait of dunking her hay in her water, and her mother's trait of enjoying a good swim in the water trough.
Willow is offered for sale for $7500 with her price to increase with training and experience.
This colt is a stunning jumper prospect. His dam is 17hh and he should easily match her size. He has phenomenal presence with an uphill build and powerful movement. This guy will be available for sale at weaning. $7500
This stunning colt attracts everybody's attention. He is very gentle and my kids have molested him mercilessly. He is completely unafraid of anything. If you are looking for one of the fanciest Clyde X TB colts around, this guy is IT. His personality reminds me why I've always bred and raised draft X's. He is so unbelievably laid back it is like he was born broke. Priced at weaning at $2500.
Willa is out of my Percheron X TB mare Winsome, by the Trakehner stallion Keenan. She is not registered. She currently stands 16.2hh and likely will only grow an inch or so more. She injured her eye as a weanling and the resulting corneal scar covers approximately 2/3 of her left eye. She has very limited vision out of that eye. She has grown up turned out in a pasture setting with a herd. She is an easy keeper with excellent feet. Willa has had intermittent work and will carry a saddle/bridle and rider, but truly knows nothing else. She has three solid gaits and is a flat mover. She was bred last spring to the Hanoverian stallion "Goodson" and she is due to foal April, 15th, 2015.
